2012 (Redshirt Junior): Made a full recovery from a back injury that sidelined him all last season and stepped right into the Bears weekend rotation as a junior ... Made 15 starts for the season, compiling a 4-4 record and a sparkling 2.51 ERA that was the fifth-lowest in the A-Sun Conference ... Ranked second on the team with 82.1 innings pitched and sixth in the A-Sun with 76 strikeouts ... Does a great job of keeping the ball down in the strike zone, allowing only two home runs all season while inducing a team-high 110 ground ball outs ... Held opposing hitters to a .257 batting average and which dipped down to a .217 clip with runners on base ... Threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball to go along with eight strikeouts to pick up a season opening win over Morehead State (Feb. 19) ... Helped the Bears to their first A-Sun Conference win of the season when he allowed just four hits in 5.2 innings of shutout ball against Kennesaw State (March 18) ... Allowed just one hit while striking out seven over six shutout innings of work at FGCU (April 7) ... Had without question his best start of the season in a 2-1 win over UNF (May 13), allowing just one earned run while setting new career-highs with 8.2 innings pitched and 11 strikeouts.
2011 (Junior): Had his season cut short due to a back injury sustained in late February and received a medical redshirt … Made three appearances before getting hurt, including one start … Posted an 0-2 record with a 7.94 ERA … Struck out six batters in 5.2 innings of work … Threw 1.2 scoreless innings of relief in two appearances against Liberty (Feb. 18-20) … Picked up his lone start of the season against in-state rival Georgia State (Feb. 22), striking out five in four innings of work before departing due to injury.
2010 (Sophomore): Talented left-handed pitcher who split time as a starter and reliever … Finished fourth on the team with 23 appearances, including 10 starts … Posted a 5-4 record with a 6.22 ERA … Ranked fifth on the team in both innings pitched (50.2) and strikeouts (43) … Featured the best pick-off move in the A-Sun, ringing up a conference-best eight base runners … Held right-handed hitters to a .275 batting average (42-for-153) … Picked up his first win of the season by working five innings and allowing just two runs in a mid-week start against Georgia State (March 3) … Allowed just one earned run on four hits in a career-high 6.2 innings of work against A-Sun member Campbell (March 14) … Struck out a career-high 10 batters in a 15-4 win over Savannah State (April 7) … Had back-to-back scoreless relief appearances against Belmont (May 21) and Jacksonville (May 26) … Threw one inning of scoreless relief in Mercer’s 13-7 NCAA Atlanta Regional win over Elon (June 5).
2009 (Freshman): Made 14 appearances, 12 as a middle relief pitcher and two as a mid-week spot starter … Posted a 1-1 record with a 7.41 ERA … Struck out eight batters in 17.0 innings of work … Tied for third on the team by picking off two base runners … Started the season by not allowing an earned run in three of his first four appearances … Pitched a season-high 5.0 innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out a season-high three batters in his first start of the season against Florida A&M (April 15).
High School: Lettered all four years in baseball for coach Bubba Wilson and the Peachtree Ridge Lions … Named team MVP in 2008 and earned second team all-county … Honored as team pitcher of the year and honorable mention all-county in 2006 … Played AAU baseball for the East Cobb Astros in 2007 and the East Cobb Braves in 2008 … Helped the Astros to a 75-10 record and an AAU championship.
