2014 (Senior): Enters his senior season just 44 hits shy of breaking the all-time Mercer career record of 264 hits set by Tim Smith in 1980-1983.
2013 (Junior): Assembled yet another stunning season at the plate, cementing himself as one of the top outfield talents in the country … Appeared and started in 58 games for the Bears, moving back from center field into his natural right field position … Finished the season ranking seventh in the A-Sun Conference with a career-best .338 batting average … Ranked in the top-10 in the A-Sun in almost every statistical category including on-base percentage (3rd - .440), slugging percentage (4th - .560), home runs (4th – 9), walks (T-4th – 35), total bases (5th – 121), RBI (6th – 48) and doubles (T-6th – 17) … Ranked in the top-100 in the country in slugging percentage (87th), total bases (87th) and home runs (88th) … Ranked third on the team with 15 multi-RBI games and fourth on the squad with 22 multi-hit contests … Stepped his game up with runners in scoring position, hitting at a remarkable .408 (29-for-71) clip to go along with 21 two-out RBI … After going hitless in the Bears season opener, proceeded to rip off a 13-game hitting streak during which he an eye-popping .589 (23-for-39) … Tied a pair of career-highs during the hitting streak when he racked up five RBI in a 19-4 win over Bethune-Cookman (Feb. 24) before collecting four hits at No. 14 Georgia Tech (March 5) … Put together a huge series at Stetson (March 22-24), going a combined 7-for-13 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored … Drew a career-high four walks at Florida A&M (April 23) … Picked up a pair of substantial national honors towards the end of the season when he was one of just 60 players in the country named to the Midseason Golden Spikes Award Watch List on May 2 and followed that up by being one of just 11 players in the country named a 2013 Capital One Academic All-America first team member … Also took home two significant league postseason awards when he was voted onto the A-Sun All-Conference first team and the A-Sun Conference All-Academic team.
2012 (Sophomore): Followed up an impressive freshman season with an equally stellar sophomore campaign both at the plate and in the field ... One of just two Bears to appear and start in all 59 games in 2012 ... Finished 12th in the A-Sun Conference with a .333 batting average on the strength of 70 hits ... Scored 42 runs to go along with 12 doubles, two triples and seven home runs ... Drove in 34 runs, stole six bases and ranked ninth in the A-Sun with a .422 on-base percentage ... Had 24 multi-hit games and didn’t make an error in center field all season long, converting all 112 of his chances ... Went 3-for-4 with three RBI and a career-high four runs scored in a 19-1 win over FAMU (Feb. 22) ... Has another 3-for-4 day at the plate with a home run and a career-high five RBI in a 9-3 win over Presbyterian (Feb. 25) ... Went 2-for-4 with a double and two stolen bases against SEC power Mississippi State (March 10) ... Put together a perfect 3-for-3 outing with a career-high three doubles and two runs scored in a 12-5 win over Georgia State (April 11) ... Helped Mercer to an important 18-7 win over USC Upstate (May 18) by going 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored ... Was rewarded for his efforts both on the field and in classroom by being selected to the A-Sun All-Conference first team and the A-Sun Conference All-Academic team.
2011 (Freshman): Put together arguably one of the best all-around freshman campaigns by any player in the nation last season … One of only four Bears to start in all 59 games in 2011, logging 57 starts in left field, one in center field and one as a designated hitter … Hit .332 last season and ranked among the team leaders in multiple statistical categories, including stolen bases (2nd – 11), total bases (4th – 118), hits (4th – 77), RBI (4th – 47), doubles (T-4th - 12), batting average (5th - .332) and home runs (5th – 9) … Had a .509 slugging percentage and four assists from his left field position … Finished third on the team with 24 multi-hit games and put together a team-long 15-game hitting streak from March 26-April 19 … Had his best game of the season in just the second tilt of the 2011 campaign, amassing two home runs, three RBI, three runs scored and a season-high four hits in a 17-5 win against Liberty (Feb. 19) … Went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and two RBI in a 9-0 win at Belmont (March 6) … Had a monster series against A-Sun Conference member USC-Upstate (May 14-15), going 8-for-14 with two doubles and six RBI … Finished what Coach Gibson said was “The best freshman campaign I have ever seen,” by being named to the A-Sun All-Freshman team and the Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American Team.
High School: Played baseball at two powerhouse schools, Freedom High School in Orlando, Fla. as a sophomore and Dominion Christian as a junior and senior … Led Dominion Christian to back-to-back Regional Championships in his two seasons there under head coach Bob McDaniel … Was named a National Christian School Athletic Association All-American as a junior and senior … Recognized in the Sports Illustrated “Faces in the Crowd” section of the May 4, 2009 issue for a torrid stretch during his junior season in which he hit six home runs and collected 15 RBI over a three-game span … Also named to the GISA Class 1-AAA All-State team as a junior and senior.
