2014 at Mercer: Weekend starter that had a breakout junior season for the Bears … Named a First Team All-Atlantic Sun selection … Appeared in 14 games as a junior with 13 starts on the year … Led the team with eight wins … Posted a 3.12 ERA with six quality starts on the season … Led the conference with four complete games and two shutouts … Became first Mercer pitcher since 2005 to throw three-straight complete games including back-to-back complete-game shutouts … Tossed 23-straight scoreless innings from March 30 to April 19 … Struck out 49 batters in a team-high 86.2 innings pitched … Held opponents to a .224 batting average … Finished third in the league with 7.3 hits allowed per nine innings … Picked up victories over High Point, Evansville and Belmont in first three starts of the 2014 season … Recorded his first career complete-game shutout in a win over USC Upstate, giving up just three hits with five strikeouts … Followed the USC Upstate game with a two-hit shutout of Lipscomb with a career-best six strikeouts en route to A-Sun Co-Pitcher of the Week honors … Went seven innings for his eighth win of the season in an 8-1 triumph over ETSU on May 17, giving up just one run on three hits … Closed out the season with 1.1 scoreless innings against ETSU in the Atlantic Sun Tournament on May 22.
2013 at Mercer: Had another good year out of the Bears bullpen providing late-inning support and consistency while on the mound …Made 21 appearances including a pair of mid-week starts … Sported a 1-1 overall record to go along with a 4.25 ERA … Struck out 17 batters in 29.2 innings pitched and held opposing hitters to a .283 batting average … Ranked on the team when pitching with two outs, holding opponents to a .231 (9-for-39) batting average … Tossed a scoreless inning of relief against Georgia Southern (March 12) … Allowed only three hits in 2.1 innings of scoreless relief at Kennesaw State (March 17) … Earned his first start of the season against Savannah State (March 27) and earned the win after allowing one run on four hits while tying his career-high with five innings pitched … Threw three innings in his second mid-week start of the season at Florida A&M (April 24) and allowed one earned run while tying his career-high with three strikeouts.
2012 at Mercer: Made 23 appearances and one start as a freshman ... Put together a 2-1 record with a 5.84 ERA ... Struck out 23 batters in 24.2 innings pitched and had one save ... Was especially tough against right-handed hitters, holding them to a .213 batting average ... Struck out two in a scoreless inning of relief in his collegiate debut against Morehead State (Feb. 19) ...
