2012 (Junior): Put together his best season yet in the Orange and Black, putting up offensive numbers that were on par with the best shortstops in the country ... Appeared and started in 54 games last season before seeing his streak of 174 consecutive game started at shortstop come to an end thanks to a broken wrist suffered against USC Upstate on May 17 ... Hit a career-best .335 in 2012, good for 11th-best in the A-Sun, while leading the league with 42 walks and 20 doubles ... Also finished in the top-10 in the A-Sun Conference in on-base percentage (3rd - .465), runs scored (7th - 46) and slugging percentage (9th - .520) ... Racked up a career-high 38 RBI and finished the 2012 season on a 26-game reached base consecutively streak ... Ranked third on the team with 10 multi-RBI games, fourth with 20 multi-hit games and fifth with 20 two-out RBI ... Started the season red-hot, going 3-for-5 with a double, three runs scored and three RBI in a 22-6 win over Morehead State (Feb. 17) ... Tallied a season-high four hits, a home run and two RBI in a 10-3 win over Presbyterian (Feb. 26) ... Showed he isn’t afraid of the big stage by going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in a 6-1 win at SEC power Mississippi State (March 10) ... Was rewarded for his efforts both on the field and in classroom by being selected to the A-Sun All-Conference second team and the Capital One Academic All-District first team.
2011 (Sophomore): One of only four Bears to start in all 59 games last season … Has trotted out as the starting shortstop for Mercer in all 120 possible games over his first two seasons in Macon … Hit .265 on the season to go along with two home runs and 22 RBI … Always known for his range and ability in the field, he led the team and finished eighth in the A-Sun Conference with 159 assists … Matched his freshman season total and tied for third on the club in 2011 with seven steals in eight attempts … Ranked fourth on the team with 44 runs scored and 31 walks … Showed a knack for the clutch with 15 two-out RBI … Started the season with a bang, going 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in a 7-2 win over Liberty (Feb. 19) … Continued to swing a hot bat against FAMU (Feb. 23), going 2-for-3 with two RBI while tying his career-highs with two doubles and three runs scored in a 19-6 win … Put together a season-high four hits in a 9-5 win at Campbell (April 2) … Scored two runs and tied his career-high with two stolen bases in a 10-2 win over Lipscomb (April 21).
2010 (Freshman): Was Mercer’s everyday shortstop as a true freshman due to his slick fielding and steady bat … Started 61 of 62 possible games … Hit .312 on the strength of 69 hits … Showed some pop with two home runs, 14 doubles and 23 RBI … Scored 48 runs and touted a .391 on-base percentage … Finished fifth on the team with 26 walks, seven stolen bases and 21 multi-hit games … Wore out right-handed pitching with a .333 average (57-for-171) … Led the team and finished tied for third in Mercer single-season history with 164 assists … One of only 54 shortstops named to the Brooks Wallace Award Watch List, recognizing the best shortstops in the nation … Went 2-for-4 on opening night with a double and a run scored against Morehead State (Feb. 19) ... Had a breakout game against Chicago State (March 7), going a perfect 5-for-5 at the dish with four RBI and two runs scored … Hit his first collegiate home run in the Orange and Black’s A-Sun Conference opener against Campbell (March 13) … Had a 4-for-4 day at the plate and set a season-high with three runs scored in a 15-3 series finale win over Campbell (March 14) … Went 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and a season-high six total bases against in-state rival Kennesaw State (May 1) … Capped off his first season in the Orange and Black by being named to the A-Sun All-Freshman Team.
High School: Was a three-sport athlete at Deerfield Windsor, lettering in baseball, basketball and soccer … Garnered all-state honors in all three sports while graduating with honors and a 3.7 GPA … Was named to the GISA-AAA All-State team as a junior and a senior … Named the GISA-AAA Regional Player of the Year … Set single-season and career records for batting average at his high school.
