Casey Vogt enters his seventh season as offensive line coach and second season as running game coordinator at Mercer University in 2019. Vogt has served on Mercer's staff since the Bears' return to the gridiron in 2013 and was the program's offensive coordinator from 2013-17.

- QB John Russ tossed for 2,167 passing yards to help Mercer accrue over 400 total offensive yards per game
- Mercer's run game averaged 203.1 yards per contest (5.0 yards per carry), led by Alex Lakes
- Lakes led SoCon in rushing with school record 1,107 yards & 17 touchdowns en route to All-SoCon First Team honors & a spot on the Jerry Rice Award Watch List
