Jackson Morris was named the assistant strength and conditioning coach during the spring of 2019.
Prior to being hired at Mercer, Morris spent five months as an intern at Mercer. During his time, he assisted with football, baseball, and men’s lacrosse. He oversaw the facility maintenance and was the internship coordinator.
Before interning at Mercer, Morris worked at Georgia Southern. For a year, he created the programming and application of programing for the rifle and women’s golf team. He also assisted with baseball, swimming and diving, track and field, and men’s soccer. He oversaw baseball injury programming.
During the summer of 2018, Morris spent the summer working with Tulane University. During his time with the strength and conditioning staff at Tulane, he worked with the football and volleyball teams.
Morris is certified in First Aid and CPR, he has his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSC) and a certified coach through the National Federation Interscholastic Coaches Education program.
Jackson received his Bachelor of Science in Education from Georgia Southern University in 2017. The following year he graduated with his Masters of Science in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern.
