An experienced and aspiring young professional with a rich background in reporting and social media storytelling, Lily Grace Kilgore begins her first season at Mercer in 2026-27 as recruiting operations and creative content coordinator for the Bears. Kilgore treks to Macon after spending the previous year tackling a multitude of communications roles while completing her undergraduate degree at Georgia.
While initially establishing herself as a multimedia reporter with the wrestling program at Jefferson High School, Kilgore has since expanded her umbrella with multiple other athletics-based organizations as well. She joined the team at On Trend Creative Studio in Athens, Ga., as the film lead and social media content creator in January 2025 where she was charged with the filming and editing of engaging social media content in an effort to enhance brand presence. Kilgore produced in-depth feature stories and game narratives for USA Today as part of its March Madness coverage in 2026, while also taking on a temporary role as a freelance reporter for the College Park Skyhawks – the G-League affiliate on the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks. She spent the previous nine months as a sports reporter with Grady Newsource on UGA’s campus.
A Macon native, Kilgore was a recipient of the Zell Miller Scholarship at Georgia and earned both a bachelor’s degree in advertising, as well as a sports media certificate, from UGA in 2026. She is an active member of the Association for Women in Sports Media (AWSM).
