Beale Concludes Day Two in Athens

ATHENS, Ga. – Mercer sophomore James Beale posted a 77 on the second day of the NCAA Men's Golf Championship Regional at the UGA Golf Course, slipping to a tie for 59th on the overall leaderboard. Entering Saturday's final round, Beale is ninth among the individual competitors at the event.
Beale's round was a see-saw affair, as the Auckland, New Zealand native posted four birdies, seven pars, four bogeys and three double bogeys.
Beale's 77 was five strokes off his pace in Thursday's opening round and moved his tournament total to 149. Mississippi's Joe David leads the individual competitors with a 36-hole score of 140.
Tomorrow's final round of play begins at 7:50 a.m., with Beale starting from the 10th hole at 9:20 a.m.
