
Volleyball Defeated by North Florida, 3-0

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer volleyball team suffered a 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-20) loss to North Florida on Friday night at Hawkins Arena. Freshman Ellie James led the team with seven kills in the losing effort.
Mercer fell to 1-14 (0-5 A-Sun) with the loss while North Florida jumped to 5-10 (2-3 A-Sun).
James' seven kills came on 22 swings with just three errors for a .182 hitting percentage. Sophomore Jordan Gollon led the team in attacking efficiency, hitting .444 with five kills and one error on nine swings.
Mercer never led during the match as North Florida posting hitting percentages of .209, .243 and .300 in the three-set triumph.
Senior Emily Rochefort collected 15 digs in the loss and senior setter Carly Iannarino registered a team-high 16 assists.
Mercer returns to action on Saturday against Jacksonville. Match time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
