
Volleyball Falls to Jacksonville, 3-0

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer volleyball team fell in straight-sets to Jacksonville, 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-15) on Saturday afternoon at Hawkins Arena. Jacksonville moved to 14-2 (5-1 A-Sun) with the win while the Bears dropped to 1-15 (0-6 A-Sun).
Junior setter Carly Iannarino dished out 17 assists while notching two digs and a kill. Senior Emily Rochefort added eight digs, two assists and two service aces in the losing effort.
Mercer never led in the match while Jacksonville rode a match-high 12-kill effort by Gabriela Roman to the victory. The Bears were paced offensively by sophomore Molly Locke and junior Caroline Carlton, who each recorded seven kills.
The Bears return to A-Sun play at Lipscomb on October 11. Match time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
