Men's Golf Completes Day One at Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Mercer junior Hans Reimers and sophomore Trey Rule each shot 71 to lead the men's golf team in Friday's opening round of the Seminole Intercollegiate at the Southwood Golf Course. The Bears' team score of 291 places the squad ninth on the leaderboard with 36 holes to play.
Host Florida State leads the 11-team field after shooting an aggregate 277 on Friday. Mississippi State is one stroke behind the Seminoles while Coastal Carolina (280) and South Florida (282) round out the top four teams.
Reimers and Rule are both tied for 13th place individually and are just one stroke outside of a tie for ninth place. Junior James Beale fired a 74 and is tied for 39th while senior John Gregory Joseph and freshman Jeffrey Heinicka each shot 75 and are tied for 45th place.
Saturday's second round is slated to start at 8:20 a.m.
