
Bagrou Sweeps Player of the Week Honors

MACON, Ga. – Mercer forward Will Bagrou has garnered player of the week honors at both the national and conference level after his performances against Wofford and VMI last week.
Bagrou was named the Disney Soccer/NSCAA and Top Drawer Soccer national player of the week, as well as the Southern Conference player of the week. He was also named to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week.
The freshman led Mercer with 11 points in the matches against Wofford and VMI. Bagrou played a part in all six of Mercer's goals, scoring five and assisting on the sixth. He scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, against Wofford and notched all three goals against VMI for the first hat trick of his career.
Bagrou leads the Bears this season with 25 points off 10 goals and five assists. He also leads the SoCon and is ranked nationally in four categories – No. 6 in total points, No. 8 in total goals, No. 12 in points per game (1.56) and No. 13 in game-winning goals (4).
Mercer will face Furman tonight in its final road game of the regular season. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m. in Greenville, S.C.
