FORT MYERS, Fla. – Out of the way of the bad weather plaguing the southeast this weekend, the Mercer University women's tennis team lost to Florida Gulf Coast 7-0 at the FGCU Tennis Complex on Saturday.
The Bears (8-11, 2-2 Atlantic Sun) lost their second straight conference match to the Eagles (11-7, 4-2 A-Sun) after having won their first two in A-Sun play.
Mercer lost all six singles matches and two of the three doubles matches with the tandem of Danielle Jones and Lucie Payrat winning the third match.
Mercer will return to the court on Wednesday as they travel to Kennesaw State. Start time for the event is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
