Women's Tennis Drops Season Finale at East Tennessee State

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – After clinching a spot in the Atlantic Sun Tournament Friday, the Mercer University women's tennis team lost to East Tennessee State University 6-1 at Dave Mullin's Tennis Complex on Saturday to conclude the season.
Mercer (10-13, 4-4 A-Sun) will go into the tournament on a losing note after East Tennessee State (12-8, 7-1 A-Sun) won all match-ups except the No. 2 slot. Senior Lucie Payrat won her match-up for Mercer after a tie-breaking set win of 6-2.
The Bears will now wait until next Friday to play, when the Atlantic Sun tournament is scheduled to begin. Match time is to be determined.
