QUOTABLES
"Overall I'm happy that we were able to get a win tonight against a good, organized, hard-working Chattanooga team; Gavin McKinney has done a great job there. We were fortunate in the first half to put three chances away, and our team stuck to the game plan. Credit to Chattanooga for tweaking a few things and making it difficult for us in the second half. Our players got a little complacent with the 3-0 lead and Chattanooga made a game out of it when they scored. I was happy that we regrouped and our players got organized, stuck to the game plan and got three more goals at the end of the second half; so I was happy we ended the game the way we did." – Head Coach Tony Economopoulos.
RECORDS UPDATE
Mercer improved to 5-4-2 (2-0 SoCon) on the season, while Chattanooga fell to 2-8-2 (0-2-1 SoCon).
