Women's Golf Finishes 13th at 3M Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Mercer women's golf team wrapped up its showing at the 3M Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate with a final round 317 on Sunday. The Bears took 13th place in the event after posting scores of 321 and 305 on Friday and Saturday.
Mercer's tournament total of 943 was four strokes behind UNCG for 12th place. Coastal Carolina won the event at 867, while Kennesaw State and Furman tied for second at 873.
Freshman Jaelyn Tindal took home Mercer's top finish, tying for 43rd with a 56-hole score of 231. Tindal shot 78 on Sunday after carding 78 on Friday and 75 on Saturday.
Senior Sarah Louie Brown carded an 81 on Sunday and tied for 52nd at 235. Brown opened the event with a 78 and posted a second round 76. Sophomore Marin Hanna also shot 81 on Sunday and finished 55th. Hanna's three-round total of 237 also featured scores of 80 and 76.
Freshman Hannah Mae Deems posted Mercer's low round on Sunday with a 6-over 77. The 77 came on the heels of a 91 and a 78 to leave her tied for 67th. Freshman Brett Beavers used 84 strokes on Sunday and closed the event in 69th place at 247.
The Bears return to action hosting the EAT A PEACH Collegiate on Sunday, March 29. The two day event is set to be held at Idle Hour Country Club in Macon.
