Women's Golf Completes Rebel Intercollegiate Showing

OXFORD, Miss. – The Mercer women's golf team wrapped up the Ole Miss Rebel Intercollegiate in 16^th place after collecting a team score of 311 in Sunday's final round. Freshman Hannah Mae Deems took home the Bears' top finish, tying for 43^rd with a three-day total of 227.

Mercer's completed the tournament with a team total of 928, three strokes ahead of Southern Miss for 17^th place. No. 19 Texas A&M won the event at 858 while No. 18 Kent State was second at 861.

Deems carded a 79 on Sunday and previously shot rounds of 75 and 73. Her 227 left her in a seven-way tie for 43^rd place. Sophomore Marin Hanna had Mercer's best round on Sunday, posting a 2-over 74 to complete the tournament in a tie for 60^th at 229.

Freshman Jaelyn Tindal finished the event with an 81 on Sunday after notching scores of 78 and 75 on Friday and Saturday. Tindal completed the event in a tie for 75^th.

Senior Sarah Louie Brown took home 89^th place at 241 after shooting 77 on Sunday. Junior Meredith Owen used 84 strokes on Sunday and tied for 90^th at 245.
