Women's Golf Completes Rebel Intercollegiate Showing

OXFORD, Miss. – The Mercer women's golf team wrapped up the Ole Miss Rebel Intercollegiate in 16th place after collecting a team score of 311 in Sunday's final round. Freshman Hannah Mae Deems took home the Bears' top finish, tying for 43rd with a three-day total of 227.
Mercer's completed the tournament with a team total of 928, three strokes ahead of Southern Miss for 17th place. No. 19 Texas A&M won the event at 858 while No. 18 Kent State was second at 861.
Deems carded a 79 on Sunday and previously shot rounds of 75 and 73. Her 227 left her in a seven-way tie for 43rd place. Sophomore Marin Hanna had Mercer's best round on Sunday, posting a 2-over 74 to complete the tournament in a tie for 60th at 229.
Freshman Jaelyn Tindal finished the event with an 81 on Sunday after notching scores of 78 and 75 on Friday and Saturday. Tindal completed the event in a tie for 75th.
Senior Sarah Louie Brown took home 89th place at 241 after shooting 77 on Sunday. Junior Meredith Owen used 84 strokes on Sunday and tied for 90th at 245.
