QUOTABLES
"It was a tough match for us, to play 109 minutes in a very even game and then we just fatigued at the end, we ran out of gas. Credit to Western Kentucky for putting their chance away. Unfortunately, we had a couple of good looks in front of goal early on and we just couldn't put them away and that's the difference in the match. We'll regroup tomorrow and get ready for a very organized, good UAB team." – Head Coach Tony Economopoulos.
RECORDS UPDATE
Mercer moved to 1-4-2 on the season and Western Kentucky improved to 3-2-1.
UP NEXT
The Bears will continue their home stand, hosting UAB on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. at Bear Field.
