QUOTABLES
"It was a great night tonight and I was very proud of the team. We challenged the players after last week, we thought we had some momentum after the UAB game and we had a great week of training, to come out with some energy early on and credit to their energy, we got the goal within the first two minutes. We executed the game plan pretty well, and it was a pretty even game after the goal. Middle Tennessee had some chances and we had some chances, but I was proud of the team for managing the match the next 88 minutes, but still pressing and creating chances." – Head Coach Tony Economopoulos.
RECORDS UPDATE
Mercer improved to 3-4-2 on the season and Middle Tennessee moved to 4-3-1.
