
Women's Tennis Drops 5-1 Decision to No. 24 Georgia Tech

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Mercer University women's tennis team fell to No. 24 Georgia Tech, 5-1, on Sunday afternoon at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex.
The Yellow Jackets opened the match winning the doubles point, and the Bears knotted the score, 1-1, when Georgia Tech defaulted at flight six. Georgia Tech won four singles matches to take a 5-1 victory over Mercer.
Katia Stravroulaki won her first set at flight one, but her match against No. 92 Rasheeda McAdoo was left unfinished.
Next up, Mercer will host Florida A&M on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 1:00 p.m. at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.
