COLUMBIA, Mo. – With four golfers finishing in the top 35 on the individual leaderboard Mercer jumped two spots on the final day to finish in a tie for fifth at the Johnie Imes Invitational.
The 14 birdies carded Tuesday tied for third among the field as two Bears carded identical 1-over-par 73 rounds while two more carded 2-over-par 74.

MERCER ON THE TEAM LEADERBOARD
Mercer moved up two spots on the final day of action to finish in a tie for fifth with Troy at 17-over-par. The Bears edged Southern Conference foe ETSU (+23) by six strokes while Rutgers (+25) finished eighth overall. Host Mizzou won the tournament at even-par while Fresno State finished second at 3-over-par.

Mercer returns to the links on Oct. 23-24 at the Palmetto Intercollegiate hosted by the College of Charleston at Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
