
Women's Tennis Defeats Jacksonville State, 6-1

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer University women's tennis team cruised to a 6-1 win over Jacksonville State on Thursday afternoon.
"I was pleased with the effort everyone game today," said Assistant Coach Hana Tomljanovic. "It was a good test and our girls handled themselves well under pressure."
The Bears started the match strong, winning the doubles point with wins at flights one and three to start with a 1-0 lead. Mercer won the first five singles matches to clinch the victory and go up 6-0 over Jacksonville State. Courtney Conley won the Gamecocks' only point with a three-set win at flight six.
Next up, Mercer will host Missouri on Friday at 5:00 p.m. at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.
