
Women's Tennis Drops 6-1 Decision to Furman

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer University women's tennis dropped a 6-1 decision to Furman on Sunday afternoon at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.
Furman won the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead in the match. The Paladins went on to win the first five singles matches, going up 6-0 and clinching the win.
Reigning SoCon Player of the Week, Katia Stravroulaki forced a third set in her singles match and won 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 over Ansley Speaks, giving the Bears their only point of the day.
Next up, Mercer will take on Samford on Wednesday, March 23 at 2:30 p.m. ET in Birmingham, Ala.
