GREENVILLE, S.C. – Jaelyn Tindal carded a 2-over-par 74 and Mercer finished the day in 19^th place overall as action began at the Lady Paladin Invitational Friday at the Furman Golf Course in Greenville.

A challenging tournament with seven Power 5 programs and eight teams ranked in the top 75, the Bears carded a 20-over-par (308) as a team in the first of three rounds, finishing one stroke ahead of Southern Conference foe Wofford.

MERCER ON THE TEAM LEADERBOARD
Mercer finished the day ranked 19^th but within striking difference of several top teams as the Bears are just 12 strokes back of the top 10. Minnesota is only three strokes ahead of Mercer while New Mexico is within six strokes of the Bears. Overall, 10 teams are within 10 strokes of each other in a competitive field.

NEXT ROUND PAIRINGS
Mercer will begin Saturday's round starting at 9:45 a.m. with the Bears teeing off hole 10, paired with ETSU, Minnesota and Wofford.
