Mercer Tennis Heads to Chattanooga For UTC Fall Classic

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's and women's tennis teams continue fall play this weekend at the UTC Steve Baras Fall Classic in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

At the tournament, Mercer will face Chattanooga, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Middle Tennessee and Southern Illinois.

On the men's side last season, Eastern Kentucky and Southern Illinois both advanced to the championship match of their respective conference tournaments, while Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State and Middle Tennessee fell in the semifinals matches of their tournaments. EKU also had a doubles pairing advance to the NCAA Tournament.

On the women's side, Southern Illinois advanced to its conference tournament championship match, while Chattanooga and EKU played in the conference semifinals match.
