Mercer Jumps One Spot, Finishes 12th at Gator Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Mercer wrapped up the Sun Trust Gator Invitational Sunday by moving up one spot – leapfrogging Kansas – to finish 12th.

MERCER ON THE TEAM LEADERBOARD
A competitive final round for the Bears vaulted Mercer over Kansas for 12th place. Mercer fell just seven strokes shy of Wisconsin. Host Florida won the tournament at 7-over-par. Hannah Mae Deems finished the tournament as one of only five golfers in the field to card an eagle.
MERCER ON THE INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD
Mary Janiga had the best round for the Bears on Sunday, carding a 1-under-par 71. That moved her up 24 spots to a tie for 35th. Terese Romeo was the top individual for the Bears, coming in tied for 30th at 15-over-par (225). Florida's Maria Torres was the tournament medalist at 5-under-par.

Mercer will next compete on March 27-29 at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic in Lahaina, Hawai'i.
