Connelly Tied for Third at Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Mercer senior Justin Connelly wants to go out on a strong note. The senior, in his final regular season tournament on the collegiate level, opened play at 1-over-par on the par-71 Richland Country Club Monday in Nashville. That led Mercer into a tie for fifth with Marshall after two rounds of action.

MERCER ON THE TEAM LEADERBOARD
The Bears enter the final round in a tie for fifth but within striking distance of a top-three spot. Mercer finished Monday's action even with Marshall at 34-over-par and just one stroke behind Chattanooga. Western Kentucky (+27) is just seven strokes ahead of the Bears. Host Lipscomb leads the team standings at 6-over-par while Ole Miss (+7) sits in second place.
MERCER ON THE INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD
Sitting at 1-over-par, Justin Connelly is in a tie for third place with four other golfers, two of which are from host Lipscomb. Brennan Bogdanovich is currently tied for 20th overall at 9-over-par with a handful of other golfers including Mercer's Hayes Rule, playing as an individual in this tournament.

"Justin Connelly had a very solid day. He kept the ball in play all day long. He played very smart off the tee and that is a huge advantage on this course."
"The team continues to improve going into conference. We are very close to having that round where everyone plays good. We need to come tomorrow and have a high level of energy after a very long and demanding 36-hole day."
