Five Star Stadium Ranked Among FCS’ Top Venues

Bears’ home venue rated as No. 6 stadium in the nation by Stadium Journey
MACON, Ga. – Mercer University's Five Star Stadium was rated as the sixth best venue in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) by StadiumJouney.com, which released its full FCS rankings on Monday.
Using its exclusive FANFARE score, Stadium Journey ranked 121 FCS schools' venues. According to Stadium Journey, the FANFARE score takes into account all the factors that encompass the gameday atmosphere: food, atmosphere, neighborhood, fan support, accessibility, value and more.
Mercer owns a 24-12 record at Five Star Stadium since its opening in 2013. More than 360,000 fans have witnessed the Bears played 36 home games at Five Star Stadium over the past six seasons; an average of 10,197 fans per game. Traditions including Mercer's pre-game Bear Walk have been paired with new fan opportunities such as Toby Town at Mercer's home football games.
Five Star Stadium was ranked just outside of Stadium Journey's top five venues, which included Montana's Washington-Grizzly Stadium (No. 1), Incarnate Word's Gayle and Tom Benson Stadium (No. 2), Campbell's Barker-Lane Stadium (No. 3), Richmond's E.
