Two Bears finish inside top-30 individually

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Mercer women's golf team shot a 295 for its best round of the weekend but dropped one spot to a ninth-place finish at the 3M Augusta Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club on Sunday.

Two Bears – Payton Schanen and Jodee Tindal – rounded out top-30 individual finishes as the Bears ended the 54-hole event at 33-over-par.

Mercer on Team Leaderboard
The Bears finished ninth out of 15 teams and best Southern Conference foe ETSU by 12 strokes this weekend. The field included a pair of nationally ranked teams --- Purdue and Virginia Tech.

Mercer on Individual Leaderboard
Four of Mercer's seven total golfers rose in the event standings Sunday, including Lauren Lightfritz, who shot two-over-par 74 to jump 10 spots. Jodee Tindal, Hannah Mae Deems and Mary Augusta Janiga all shot one-over-par 73 as well.
