Lauren Lightfritz finishes tied for 10th individually
MIAMI, Fla. – Sophomore Lauren Lightfritz rounded out a two-over-par (218) performance to tie for 10th individually as Mercer placed ninth overall after shooting a 20-over-par 308 in the final round of the Hurricane Invitational on Wednesday.

The Bears finished the 54-hole tournament at 47-over-par (911) while placing ahead of four other teams in the 13-team field at the Biltmore Golf Course.

After turning it around with a three-spot improvement following Tuesday's round, the Bears fell back into ninth place in the difficult 13-team field. Mercer finished one shot off a three-way tie for seventh place with Penn State and nationally-ranked Barry while placing ahead of South Florida (+51), FIU (+55), Middle Tennessee (+57) and South Dakota State (+66).

Individual player Lauren Lightfritz shot a two-over-par 74 on Wednesday to finish tied for 10th in a field of 75 golfers. The sophomore birdied No. 4 and finished the three-day tournament with a total score of 218. Payton Schanen joined Lightfritz in the top 20 individually, shooting +4 (76) on Wednesday to remain tied for 19th.
