Mercer, 100.9 The Creek Announce Partnership

Bears' 11 football games to be broadcasted on 100.9 The Creek
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer Athletics department announced Friday morning that it has partnered with Macon-based Creek Media LLC to broadcast all 11 football games in the 2018 season through 100.9 The Creek FM.

Mercer's partnership with 100.9 The Creek includes the Bobby Lamb Coach's Show, weekly game coverage – pregame, game broadcast and postgame rundown – and exposure through The 11th Hour publication.

The 11th Hour, which has served as a trusted source for the culture, arts and entertainment in Middle Georgia for over 16 years, is a bi-monthly newsweekly owned and operated by Creek Media LLC. All Mercer-related content published through The 11th Hour will focus on the lifestyle and culture aspects of Mercer's 18 varsity sports programs.

"Voice of the Bears" Rick Cameron enters his sixth season of Mercer football radio broadcasting and 15th year overall as the Bears' play-by-play radio announcer. Cameron will be joined once again by veteran analyst and former NFL defensive back Roger Jackson as well as sideline reporter Charles Davis, who is the official voice of 100.9 The Creek.

"Partnering with Creek Media LLC and its radio station, 100.9 The Creek, is an exciting step for Mercer Athletics heading into our 2018-19 athletics seasons," said Mercer Athletics Director Jim Cole. "The Creek is Macon-based and further strengthens our mission to bring Mercer and Middle Georgia together as a whole."

The Mercer football team opens the 2018 season at Memphis on Sept. 1. Season tickets for the Bears' five home games at Five Star Stadium are available at tickets.mercer.edu or by calling the Mercer Ticket Office at (478) 301-5470.
