Bears make short trip to Duluth for familiar tournament

MERCER, Ga. – Mercer men's golf heads just up the road this week as it is set to compete in the 9^th Annual AutoTrader Collegiate Classic hosted by Georgia State at Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth.

The Bears start things off with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on holes 4-7A – Mercer will be paired with Boston College and Southern Miss in the opening round.

COACH KAYDEN'S TAKE
"I am confident our guys will come out this week and focus on one shot at a time and stay in the present," head men's golf coach Kirk Kayden said. "I think this is key with our team right now for us to be mentally strong going in to this event."
"I really like the fact that some of our guys are familiar with the golf course which will help us in our preparation. Tee shots will be important this week as this is a placement golf course".
