Bears improve on third day after second round cancelled
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – After the second round was cancelled due to rain, Mercer men's golf wrapped up The Grove Intercollegiate hosted by Middle Tennessee Tuesday, finishing tied for 10th out of the 14 teams participating.
Â
Martin Plukka and Lino Galdin paced the group in the round, both turning in one-over 73's on their scorecards. Plukka had the highest finish on the team, tying for 29th after shooting five-over for the tournament.

Coach Kayden's Take
"After our day off in the hotel Monday, we just didn't perform as well as we expected. We've got a few guys who just aren't really playing at the level that they want for themselves, or that we want for them. We did have a couple of good rounds from Martin (Plukka) and Lino (Galdin), so I'm proud of those guys.
Â
We've got a quick turnaround, now, as we start at Georgia State Sunday morning. I'm confident that we'll play with confidence because we know the course fairly well. I think it's a good opportunity for us to turn things around."
Â
The Bears head to Atlanta this weekend to participate in the AutoTrader Collegiate Classic Sunday through Tuesday at the Berkeley Hills Country Club.
