Men’s Soccer Opens SoCon Tournament Against Wofford

Bears looking for third SoCon Tournament Title in four years
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's soccer will be looking for its third Southern Conference Tournament title in four years when it opens play in the SoCon Tournament on Friday. The Bears play Wofford in the Quarterfinals. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. from the Furman Soccer Field.

Mercer leads the all-time series, 12-3-1, over Wofford. These two teams met on Oct. 15. The Terriers came away with a 3-2 overtime victory over the Bears. The Terriers tied the match with 15 seconds left in the match and scored the winning goal a minute and a half into overtime. Â

The Terriers enter the SoCon Quarterfinals with a 4-12-1 record on the season. The Terriers have lost their last three matches and have been outscored 9-4 in those games. The last win for Wofford came on Oct. 22 when they shutout VMI, 3-0. Wofford as scored 24 goals this season and is averaging 1.41. Adrian Roseth leads the team with six goals this season.
