Stanton Schorr leads the way with a tie for 17th individually
OPELIKA, Ala. – Mercer senior Stanton Schorr shot a third-round 70 (-2) and placed 17th individually to lead the Bears through the third and final round of the LSU-hosted Tiger Invitational at Grand National Lake Course on Tuesday.

Mercer (+27, 891) placed 12th overall in the 54-hole tournament after shooting a third-round 292 (+4). After a strong start through the first 18 holes of play on Sunday, the Bears dropped in the standings over the following two days.

"The guys were much improved today and we were just unable to overcome our poor play in the second round," said head coach Kirk Kayden. "I'm proud of Stanton [Schorr] for leading us in the final round; he was one bad hole away from a top five finish and played well in all phases of the game."

Mercer on Team Leaderboard
Mercer dropped one spot in on the team leaderboard on Tuesday and finished ahead of Missouri, Austin Peay State, Florida Atlantic and Lipscomb

Mercer on Individual Leaderboard
Stanton Schorr (-2) and Tyler Copp (E) shot even par or lower in Tuesday's final round to lead the Bears. Schorr earned a tie for 17th while Copp tied for 35th. Schorr's final round included six birdies but one pivotal double bogey as well on par-three No. 3.
