Mercer welcomes Bearcats for its fourth home weekend series

MACON, Ga. – Mercer will play its fourth home weekend series of the season when it hosts Binghamton on March 15-17 at OrthoGeorgia Park.

The series will open at 6 p.m. (ET) on Friday night. Mercer (10-8) is coming off an 8-1 mid-week win over Savannah State and is in the midst of a 12-game home stand. Saturday and Sunday's games will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Batting Practice

Left-hander Beau Healy has been moved into Mercer's weekend rotation. The sophomore is 2-0 with a 3.00 earned run average in six appearances and three starts.
Kel Johnson enters the weekend with a 17-game reached base streak.
Johnson and RJ Yeager own six home runs apiece. Johnson hit three in last weekend's series.
The Bears are 9-4 at OrthoGeorgia Park this season.
Mercer's pitching staff has struck out 10-plus batters 10 times in 18 games.
Mercer is one of four NCAA Division I programs to win at least 35 games in each of the past nine seasons, joining LSU, Florida State and Vanderbilt.

Scouting Binghamton
The Bearcats (4-6) have played just 10 games entering this weekend's series in Macon. They started off the season with five consecutive losses but earned a three-game sweep of Southern Conference foe VMI last weekend in Lexington, Va.

Binghamton junior right-hander Ben Anderson was named the America East Pitcher of the Week after tossing six innings with eight strikeouts against the Keydets last Saturday. The Bearcats are batting .217 overall with just four home runs through 10 games.
