Mercer will close out regular season in Augusta this weekend

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's golf team will take on a talented field at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational on April 6-7 at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.

The two-day, 54-hole tournament will lead up to the eve of The Masters and feature five nationally-ranked teams. Mercer enters the weekend with its highest ranking in five years (110th).

COACH KAYDEN'S TAKE
"The guys were able to take a mental break from tournament golf recently and get in some fine-tuning of their game," said head coach Kirk Kayden. "This is a very good field with some great golf schools in the event. We need to play with confidence to be successful, as we're trying to build on a very solid season going into our final event. The guys' hard work is paying off and we're looking to continue to improve heading into the SoCon Championships in two weeks."
