Bears defeat SCAD, 6-1, at home

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis team earned a 6-1 nonconference win over SCAD on Senior Day at the Leroy Peddy Tennis Center on Saturday.

The Bears swept doubles play to earn the point before taking five of six singles matches, including wins by seniors Katie Sidor (4-6, 7-6, 10-7) and Celine Schepers (6-3, 6-3) on courts No. 1 and No. 5. Fellow senior Christie Cesarini helped Marie Mottet earn a doubles win, 7-5, in the No. 3 flight.
