Baseball Moves Contest to Tallahassee

Weather forces location change to Tuesday’s ballgame
MACON, Ga. – With inclement weather in the Middle Georgia area, Mercer's baseball game with Florida State scheduled for Tuesday night has been moved to Tallahassee, Fla. The Bears and Seminoles will play at 4 p.m. at Dick Howser Stadium.
Fans who have purchased single-game tickets for the contest will be refunded by calling the Mercer ticket office at (478) 301-5470 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. eastern time.

Batting Practice
- The Bears improved to 11-0 on the season with a sweep of UT Martin this past weekend. This is the best start for the Bears in program history.
- Mercer is one of six teams in the NCAA that remains undefeated and is the only team in the Southern Conference with a perfect record.
- The Bears' offense is off to a fast start. Mercer is 10th in the nation in doubles with 28. Freshman Colby Thomas leads the Bears in doubles with 6, which ranks him 13th in the country.
- Mercer has been hit by 23 pitches this season, including being hit by six in the series finale against Radford. The 23 hit by pitches ranks 14th among all NCAA Division I squads.
- Mercer has a team batting average of .307 on the season, which is 23rd best in the nation. The Bears have six players with an average of .340 or better.
- The Bears hold a 6.2 strikeout-to-walk ratio, which is the second best in the country and behind only Sacramento State.
- Tanner Hall has picked up three wins this season. His three wins rank him second in the NCAA and leads the Southern Conference.
- Mercer is one of just four NCAA Division I programs to win at least 35 games in each of the past 10 seasons, joining LSU, Florida State and Vanderbilt.
- Since 2010, the Bears are the winningest Division I baseball program in the state of Georgia. The Bears have won 392 games.
- The Bears were picked to finish third in the Southern Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll. Mercer tallied one first place vote and 51 points.
- Le Bassett was the only Bear to earn First Team Preseason All-SoCon honors. He earned his spot as a DH. Angelo DiSpigna, RJ Yeager and Collin Price were named to the second team.
