
Martineau, Kim Recognized by TopDrawer Soccer

Trevor Martineau was named to the TopDrawerSoccer Men’s Team of the Week, while Kevin Kim earned an honorable mention
MACON, Ga. – Junior forward Trevor Martineau of the Mercer men's soccer team was recognized as a member of TopDrawer Soccer's Team of the Week, the organization announced on Tuesday. Additionally, sophomore midfielder Kevin Kim earned an honorable mention.
Martineau netted the game-tying goal in the 69th minute of Friday's match, pouncing on a rebound that came off a Dylan Gaither header. The Montreal, Quebec native recorded two shots in the contest, both of which were on goal. His 65 career points rank seventh-most in program history. Additionally, Martineau is the NCAA Division I active leader in career points(65) , points per game (1.63), goals per game (0.60) and is tied for the most career goals (24).
Kim was also named an honorable mention by TopDrawer Soccer for his efforts against Georgia State. He made a strong impact in his 56 minutes off the bench as he assisted on Martineau's goal by sending a cross into the box for Gaither's header which Martineau eventually buried for the equalizer. The Frisco, Texas native came back less than a minute later and put a shot on goal that forced the GSU keeper to make a difficult save to keep the game tied.
The Bears return to action this evening as they welcome Georgia Southern to Betts Stadium for a 7 p.m. contest. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
