Mercer will play its eighth and final regular season tournament of its 2020-21 campaign

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's golf team prepares for its final tournament of the 2020-21 regular season as the Bears hit the road for the Wofford Invitational at the Country Club of Spartanburg on Monday and Tuesday.

"We're looking forward to going to the classic, old-style country club in Spartanburg that has hosted many prestigious events in the state of South Carolina and has had some great national junior golf tournaments. The course has a great reputation. It's a shorter golf course, which is going to require good tee shots. We're going to need to have our wedges fine-tuned this week because it's a golf course where you need to hit your wedges close and putt well. We're going to be facing some Southern Conference schools right before the conference championships, so I think that will be a good test to see how we stack up against the rest of the SoCon heading into next week.

"The guys have had some time to regroup after a busy month of March, and we're looking forward to getting back in it. We have to play with confidence this week, and our goal is to build some positive momentum heading into the conference championship with some good play."
