Basketball Teams To Host Tip Off Event at Mercer Village

MACON, Ga. - Mercer fans will get the chance to meet the Mercer University Men's and Women's Basketball teams at the annual Basketball Tip Off Event on Monday, October 24. Mercer Village will host the festivities from 6 - 8 p.m.

This event will be free to the general public and is for all ages.

Players from both teams and Men's Head Coach Greg Gary and Women's Head Coach Susie Gardner, will be on hand to visit with the fans, sign autographs, offer team giveaways, and participate in fun and games with the fans. In addition, there will be inflatables for kids and fans will be able to shoot around with friends and family along with the team. In between your shoot around, free pizza will also be available for all of those in attendance.

The men's basketball team has an exhibition game at home on November 3 against LaGrange College before opening the regular season at East Carolina on November 8.

The women's basketball team plays its season opener at home on November 7 against Middle Tennessee.
