
Devron Harper Sets School Record With 293 All-Purpose Yards

Harper had an 87-yard punt return for a touchdown last week
MACON, Ga. – Wide receiver Devron Harper set a Mercer school record with 293 all-purpose yards in last week's win at VMI.
The previous record was set last season by Fred Davis who had 276 all-purpose yards against Samford.
Harper had 126 punt return yards, the most by a player in a game in school history. His 87-yard punt return for a touchdown in the first quarter was the second longest punt return in school history.
Against VMI, Harper had 126 punt return yards, 80 receiving yards, 65 kick return yards, and 22 rushing yards.
This is the second school record Harper broke this season. Harper also broke the school record for receiving touchdowns in a season when he caught his eighth of the year against Western Carolina.
Through nine games this season, Harper is tied for the most touchdowns in the FCS with 16.
