Tobias Jonsson scored (-1) in the final round.
EATONTON, GA.  -  Tobias Jonsson, led the Bears placing T30 overall in the Linger Longer Invitational in Eatonton Georgia finishing 218 (+2).
Jonsson shot an impressive third round 71 (-1) and featured five birdies which would eventually assist him in finishing with the lowest score of the weekend for the Bears. By the end of the co-hosted tournament, along side Kennesaw State University, Jonathan Parker would go on to finish right behind him shooting a final of (+7). Jonsson is now currently ranked 78th in the top 100 in the nation.
Additionally, Parker finished the second 18 with an even score of (72). Nevertheless, that wasn't the only even round for the Orange and Black this past week. Byrce Werblo, Parker and Martin Plukka all notched said score in the back nine of the first round as well at Great Waters. Â

COACH PAYNE'S THOUGHTS:Â
"We are honored to host such an event at such an amazing course. We couldn't achieve the final result we set out for, but I know what this team is capable of achieving," head coach Payne said. "We had a solid couple of first round performances and Jonsson was able to finish strong on the third day. With that being said, this team continues to fight hard no matter where we play. We are able put together some nice rounds when we need them, but we need to be able to come together as a team and finish stronger as one. Jonsson continues to do more than anybody could ask and I think that really motivates the rest of the team to play their best every time we reach that first tee."
UP NEXT:
Mercer will return to action on Saturday, April 2nd as they set out to compete in the the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational. The two-day and 54-hole event will be hosted in Augusta, Ga. at the Forest Hills Golf Club.
