
Men's Basketball Announces 2022-2023 Conference Schedule

Southern Conference play begins Dec. 29 at Samford
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's basketball team announced the remainder of its 2022-2023 schedule on Wednesday. Previously, a challenging 14 game non-conference schedule was announced that begins on Nov. 3 at Hawkins Arena. Included in non-conference play, that concludes on Dec. 21 at Troy University, is the Hostilo Community Classic in Savannah, Georgia, over Thanksgiving weekend and match-ups with East Carolina, Winthrop, Florida State, Kennesaw State and Florida Gulf Coast.

Southern Conference play begins on the road on Dec. 29 at Samford. The Bears return home two days later on New Year's Eve for their first SoCon game at home against Chattanooga.

From Jan. 4 until Feb. 25, the Bears will compete at home and on the road with each SoCon institution in conference play leading up to the Southern Conference Tournament in Asheville, North Carolina, March 2-5.
Coach Greg Gary begins his fourth season leading the Mercer men's program. Gary's squads have recorded 51 wins in his first three seasons; 51 wins in three seasons is the most by any coach in school history.
