Former Bear Alvin Ward Jr. Signs With CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Ward Jr. played two seasons with Mercer from 2020-21
MACON, Ga. -Â Former Mercer outside linebacker Alvin Ward Jr. has signed a contract with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League. The Tiger-Cats are based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
Ward Jr. transferred to Mercer beginning the 2020 season from Georgia Southern. Ward Jr. played two seasons at Mercer from 2020-21.
He played in 15 games in his Mercer career. He tallied 54 total tackles, including 25 solo, four tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery.
Ward Jr. and the Tiger-Cats open up their 2023 season at home on May 27.
