SCOUTING WOFFORD | ||
The Terriers, under the direction of first-year head coach Shawn Watson returned 14 starters, including seven on the offensive side of the ball, as well as two specialists, from last year's team that registered a 3-8 record (3-5 SoCon) and a (tie) 6th-place finish in the league's final regular season standings. Among the returnees are two preseason all-conference picks, including offensive lineman Jason Swann and defensive lineman Chuck Smith. Wofford has now dropped eight straight games dating back to the 2022 regular season finale following Saturday's 41-10 setback at East Tennessee State. The Bucs racked up 193 yards of total offense on the way to lugging a 27-0 lead into the intermission, and limited the Terriers to just 177 offensive yards, including just 63 on the ground. Wofford mustered just 37 yards on its first eight possession of the afternoon before putting together a 9-play, 49-yard scoring drive midway through the third quarter. |
