Mercer tied for third in team leaderboard

GREENSBORO, Ga. - Kate Song shot 72 (E) and is tied for second after her first round at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational on Friday from Great Waters Golf Course.

Song had two birdies and two bogeys in her first round. On the team leaderboard, Mercer is tied for third with East Carolina in the 12 team field at 16-over-par after the first round.

The Bears had 58 pars in the first round, tied with Daytona St. College for the most pars by any team in the first round. The Bears performed well on the par 4s with an average of 4.28 strokes per par 4 tied for the best on par 4s with Middle Tennessee.

Mercer had two golfers, Mikayla Dubnik and Tracy Rodriguez, play the par 5s under-par as each were one-under on par 5s for the day.
