Song is +3 for the tournament after two rounds
GREENSBORO, Ga. - Mercer women's golfer Kate Song sits tied for fourth place after two rounds at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational.
Song carded a 3-over 75 in her second round on Saturday, matching teammate Carol Pyon who also shot 75 (+3) on Saturday. Song will enter the final round on Sunday five shots back of current 36-hole leader Madison Tenore of Daytona St. College.
On the team leaderboard, the Bears are in sixth place at +33 in the 12-team field after a team round score of 305 (+17), one shot more over par than the first round when the Bears were 16-over par. Georgia Southern and Delaware are tied for the team lead at 24-over par.
The Bears continued to perform well on the par 4s and currently lead the field with an average of 4.24 strokes per par 4. The Bears are +24 on par 4s with tournament leaders Georgia Southern next best at +29 on par 4s. Mercer also leads the field in total pars with 116.
