Bears Complete First Round At Florida State Match Up

Camilla Järvelä had Mercer's lowest round with a 79

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Mercer women's golf team finished the first round of the Florida State Match Up with a team score of 327 (+39) at Seminole Legacy Golf Club on Friday.

The Bears are 11th out of 12 teams in the team standings with two more rounds to play. In a field that consists of three teams who rank inside the top-50, the hosts in No. 12 Florida State leads the field after the first round with a team score of 287 (-1).

Camilla Järvelä had the lowest score in the first round for the Bears with a 79 (+7). Järvelä was one of two Mercer golfers - along with Carol Pyon - to eagle the par 5 eleventh.
